Green Policy of Science College

The College has GREEN (Grass Roots Environmental Efforts Now) Policy as its heritage and it also has created proper system to preserve this glory as follows:

  • - College has well-known Botany department which has cultivated unique Botanical and Medicinal gardens, floral and fruit gardens and green house on campus.
  • - These gardens are live botanical Laboratories for the students and environmental wealth of the institution.
  • - In addition to this, The College has constituted 'Eco-friendly Committee' in year 2015 headed by Dr. L. P. Shinde and directed by Principal Dr. D. U. Gawai.

Objectives of the Committee:

  • - Eco-friendly Committee takes the lead for the environment review of the college Campus.
  • - The committee implements sustainable practices in the college to make the college campus green, clean and beautiful.
  • - It makes awareness of Solid Waste, Chemical Waste, and Electronic Waste in the college.
  • - It strives to make all stakeholders eco-friendly in order to create awareness among the students, teachers and all who are associated with our college.
  • - It tries to implementing measures to "Zero discharge Campus".
