Resource Mobilization Policy

A) Aims and Objectives:

  • - To Mobilize and generate resource support to achieve the strategic plans and goals and for overall development of the college.
  • - To pinpoint and analyze various resources available to define and structure the policies, programme priorities, research, infrastructure development and maintenance with well-organized allocation of all available resources.
  • - To confirm the current resource availability and funding support by the landscape available, other resources and the commitment from stakeholders and agencies.
  • - To strengthen the relations with the stakeholders to generate income and to make best use of internally generated income.
  • - Monitoring and Evaluation of resource mobilization.

B) The College mobilizes and secures funding with the following agencies and strategies:

1. Funds Mobilized from Salary Grant:

  • - The main resource of institutional receipts is grant-in-aid received from state government salary of the aided section.

2. Funds Mobilized from Non-salary Grant:

  • - The college is also entitled to utilize some part of student fees as per the rule for routine non-salary expenses.

3. Funds Mobilized from Self-financing courses:

  • - Fees collected from self-financing courses, deposited in the College Account: It is utilized for fulfilling the expenditure of essentials like electricity and water.

4. Funds Mobilized from UGC and Maharashtra Government Grants under development Scheme:

  • - ICSSR/UGC/DST: For setting up labs, improving infrastructure, maintenance of equipment, research projects, library etc.
  • - UGC plan development grants for buildings, sophisticated instruments, books and journal purchases for UG and PG education and research.
  • - UGC-IQAC grants
  • - UGC Funding for Seminar and conference grant
  • - RGSTC funds from Maharashtra Government.
  • - Central/State Government funding for NSS and NCC
  • - University funding for College Magazine

5. Funds Mobilization from Management and Teacher's contribution:

  • - Contribution from teachers: used for common special needs of employees and students
  • - Financial assistance from Management for infrastructure augmentation, equipment.

6. Funds Mobilization from Scholarship:

  • - Endowments and Scholarships to students
  • - Grants given to students from reserved communities: Funding/ Scholarships for SC/ ST/ OBC/OEC / Lakshadweep students for fees, study tours, etc.

7. Funds Mobilization from Philanthropist and Alumina

  • - Buying Books, Tree Plantations and organizing social events

C) The College has well established mechanism for maintaining existing resources.

  • - The college has set of procedures for maintenance of infrastructure and equipment. This is primarily attained through the monitoring of various committees like Purchase Committee, Campus Development Committee, Infrastructure and Development Committee, CDC and IQAC with necessary support systems.

Mechanism of financial management for optional utilization of resources is kept for discussion and for formal approval before CDC, forwarded to GC wherein approval is given.

D) Utilization of resources:

  • - Building maintenance and infrastructure upgradation
  • - Laboratory, Library and Sport Facilities Maintenance
  • - ICT Maintenance, Research Facilities, etc.
